The Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) will host general insurance open forums in Melbourne and Sydney on October 7 and 14 respectively.

The sessions bring together industry participants to discuss relevant FOS decisions and share insights on emerging issues.

The agenda is open and members are encouraged to submit questions and topics to be addressed by ombudsmen and other experts. Members can also submit FOS determinations for discussion when completing online registration forms.

Due to the half-day forums’ popularity, registration is compulsory.

FOS says the forums are of interest to members involved in general insurance and insurance-related products, and anyone dealing with internal or external dispute resolution in these areas.
