The Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) will deploy “roaming experts” at its national conference this week to answer delegates’ questions.

FOS has made its staff, including case managers, more widely available in response to requests at previous conferences.

Chief Ombudsman Shane Tregillis will open Thursday’s conference by outlining efforts to make the dispute process more efficient. A panel discussion will consider the future of financial services and opportunities and challenges facing the industry.

Afternoon breakout sessions will focus on issues such as the Insurance Contracts Act and the changing face of fraud. The day will end with a networking session with FOS experts.
