Zurich has recruited Mark Hunt to the newly created Head of Deal and Broker Management position.

Mr Hunt worked for the insurer from 2011 to last year, holding senior underwriting and deal management roles.

He most recently worked for a casualty-focused Lloyd’s insurance consortium.

Mr Hunt, who starts later this month, will work with Zurich’s regional managers to build trading capability in all markets in Australia and New Zealand.

“[His] appointment is an endorsement of our renewed strategy and our ability to attract top industry leaders,” CEO General Insurance Tim Plant said.
