Former IAG exec takes up client and broker head role at AIG
Lisa Jeffery has been named as AIG Head of Client and Broker Engagement, replacing Jared King who left the insurer last August.
She is also interim Head of Claims, AIG CEO Nigel Fitzgerald says in a brief announcement on his LinkedIn account. The Head of Claims role was previously held by Joe Di Natale, who remains with the company.
“[Ms Jeffery] has more than two decades of experience leading large teams within Australia and internationally across all strategic facets, including sales, underwriting, operational transformation and claims,” Mr Fitzgerald said.
“With both insurer and broking background and a strong focus on customer experience, [she] is well placed to lead our Client and Broker Engagement and Claims teams. We welcome [her] to AIG Australia and wish her every success in her new role.”
Ms Jeffery has run her own private consulting firm, according to her LinkedIn account. Prior to this, she was an Executive for Strategic Operations with Gallagher on a contract basis for seven months until last month.
Before Gallagher, she worked at IAG for more than eight years in a number of roles. When she left IAG in April last year, she was Executive for Strategic Projects and before this, the deputy CEO of SBI General Insurance - a joint venture in India with the State Bank of India. IAG sold its 26% stake in the venture in 2019.
In her earlier roles at IAG, she was State Manager for Victoria/Tasmania and State Manager Retail Manager.
