Zurich Australia CEO Daniel Fogarty is expected to join the Insurance Council of Australia (ICA) board, marking the latest in a series of recent changes.

Former RAC CEO Mike McCarthy – who left WA’s largest private motor insurer late last year – resigned from the board on December 17, and Allianz MD Terry Towell left on December 31.

IAG Direct Insurance CEO Andy Cornish, Lloyd’s Australian representative Adrian Humphreys and Swiss Re Australia and New Zealand MD Mark Senkevics have been appointed to the board over the past year.

While Mr Fogarty is expected to join the board this month, an ICA spokesman declined to confirm the move.

“All vacancies... will be considered at the next board meeting,” he said.
