The Association of Financial Advisers (AFA) has announced its six finalists for this year’s Female Excellence in Advice Award.

They are: Anne Graham of McPhail HLG Financial Planning in Melbourne; Catherine Robson from Affinity Private, also in Melbourne; Christine Hornery of Financial Management Solutions, NSW; Christine Swanson from Prominent Financial Planners in Adelaide; Deborah Kent of Integra Financial Services in Sydney; and Dianne Charman from Jade Financial Group in Brisbane.

The winner will receive a scholarship for an executive leadership course at Macquarie Graduate School of Management, worth more than $5000.

The award – in its second year and sponsored by TAL Life – encourages more women to consider financial advice careers and champions those who excel at it.

The winner will be announced at the AFA conference on the Gold Coast on October 30.
