Former Talbot Underwriting Australia MD Adam Matteson has joined Suncorp as Property, Construction and Engineering Portfolio Manager.

As reported by insuranceNEWS.com.au at the time, Mr Matteson left Talbot in August. Sources said the termination of his services was “totally unexpected”.

He moved to Talbot in November 2014 to set up its local operation. Prior to that he had performed much the same role for Arch Underwriting, where he was regional director Australasia.

Mr Matteson has also worked in a number of senior underwriting roles in insurance and reinsurance.

He starts with Suncorp next Monday and will be based in Sydney.
