Ex-Sportscover chief joins Aon
Former Sportscover CEO David Lamb, who left the underwriting agency in September, has taken up a new position at Aon as Head of Sport.
He will be based in Melbourne and report to Aon Risk Solutions Australia Head of Affinity David Cole.
“Australians love sport and have some of the highest participation rates in the world, yet the current array of sports services in the Australian broker market is underwhelming,” Aon Risk Solutions Australia CEO Lambros Lambrou said.
“In hiring [Mr Lamb] we’re committing to making Aon’s global sports expertise available to the Australian market and delivering a better deal for sports clients.”
Mr Lamb will work with a team of specialist sports administrators to build a suite of capabilities for sporting clients.
Sportscover removed Mr Lamb in September alleging “performance and misconduct issues”, but Mr Lamb said at the time he was confronted after raising concerns about the company.
