The Insurance Council of Australia (ICA) has appointed Sarah Phillips as Acting GM Consumer Relations and Market Development, following the departure of Vicki Mullen to Swiss Re.

Ms Phillips was most recently policy consultant with the Financial Services Council, with responsibility for developing the new Life Insurance Code of Practice.

She previously worked at ICA from 2013 to last year, as senior policy adviser.

“ICA is delighted to welcome back Sarah in an acting capacity while ICA conducts a thorough search for a permanent appointee to fill this extremely important GM position,” CEO Rob Whelan said.

Ms Mullen has joined Swiss Re as Client Manager for Global Partnerships after almost five years with ICA.
