Sompo Japan Nipponkoa, which is managed by Allianz in Australia, has appointed Simon Chandler as Senior Manager.

He was previously managing principal at Breeze Reinsurance, and has held key roles at Sedgwick Re, Willis Re and Aon Re.

Allianz GM Corporate Broker and Agency Michael Pocknee told insuranceNEWS.com.au Mr Chandler brings a wealth of experience from a 33-year career.

“His experience will assist greatly in Allianz continuing to support [Sompo Japan Nipponkoa] in Australia, particularly in assisting to meet their growth ambitions and expand their business following their global merger [last year],” he said.

“His experience will also be valuable in guiding the team in the challenging regulatory and compliance environment.”
