Mineral drilling contractor Swick Mining has won the inaugural RM Advancer award for excellence in workers’ compensation risk management.

The GIO workers’ compensation risk management award was added to the program this year to recognise the importance of workplace health and safety.

Metcash won the property risk management award, Elders the liability risk management category, City Holdings the motor risk management award and Shaw’s Darwin Transport the enterprise-wide risk management prize.

Vero’s RM Advancer Awards were established in 2005 to recognise and encourage risk management practices among Vero customers.

This year’s prizes were presented at a ceremony last week in Sydney. Next year’s will be announced on October 25 in Melbourne.
