Do more for others, says award winner
Insurance industry professionals should devote some of their free time to supporting the less fortunate in their communities, says Brisbane broker Colin Hambrecht.
He has been awarded the Melvin Jones Fellowship Award, the highest honour accorded to members of community services organisation Lions International. The award was made in recognition of Mr Hambrecht’s “exemplary service to his club and the community for which it serves”.
Fewer than 1% of the 1.8 million members of Lions International have received the award.
“It’s a great feeling being able to help the less fortunate in your community,” he told insuranceNEWS.com.au. “I recommend it to others – it’s something really worth doing.”
Mr Hambrecht has also held positions in Apex and the former Australian Insurance Institute.
