Dive In turns spotlight on stars of middle management

The insurance industry’s Dive In diversity festival is inviting professionals to “celebrate the unsung heroes” and nominate managers who foster inclusive cultures.

Nominations are open until June 28 and registration for the 10th-anniversary Dive In Festival, from September 24-26, opens on August 15.

Dive In organisers say it is middle managers who truly inject diversity and inclusion into the heart of corporate cultures.

“Behind the scenes, your manager might be working tirelessly, ensuring every voice is not just heard but valued. Yet their efforts often go unnoticed. Now is the time to change that. By nominating your manager, you have the power to spotlight their dedication and inspire others to follow in their footsteps.”

Nominations can be made in four categories: commitment to diversity and inclusion; advocacy and leadership; innovation and collaboration; and communications and engagement. Winners will be featured across Dive In’s social media channels.

Dive In Festival events were attended by almost 31,000 people last year.

This year’s theme is A Sustainable Future: The Next 10 Years. And for the first time, Dive In will be hosted in Greece, Belgium, Malaysia, Namibia and the Philippines, offering streamed and in-person events.

The 10-year anniversary is “an opportunity to look ahead at the next decade and how we progress”, Dive In chair and Marsh McLennan media relations director Jason Groves said.

“This year’s theme is a clarion call to ask individuals at all levels of seniority to commit to creating inclusive workplace cultures.

“Unlocking every individual's potential to innovate will enable us to tackle the global challenges the industry is facing and create more resilient businesses.”
