Disaster resilience awards seek candidates
Nominations have opened for the annual Resilient Australia Awards, which recognise innovation and best practice in protecting communities from disaster threats.
The government-sponsored awards, now in their 18th year, are open to individuals and organisations with an interest in emergency management and natural disasters.
Categories are included for school students and photography, along with awards for the best government, business and community group projects from each state and territory.
More than 150 applications were received for last year’s program.
Applications are open until June 30. For more information, click here.
