Tony De Conno of Adelaide brokerage De Conno & Blanco has been named SA broker of the year.

He will now go on to contest the national title, which has been sponsored by Zurich since it was launched in 2012. Mr De Conno will compete against other state and territory finalists at the NIBA Convention in Adelaide on September 14-16.

Cassandra Pearce of Insurance Advisernet Australia in Adelaide has taken the state’s young professional broker award.

The runners-up were Alex Conlon of BJS Insurance Group and Joshua Ingall of HIA Insurance Services.

Ms Pearce will undertake the development sessions and judging that precedes the announcement of the Warren Tickle Memorial Award for best young professional, with the winner to be named at the NIBA Convention.

Vero has been sponsoring the Warren Tickle award since it was launched in 1990.
