Cyber, building products hog centre stage at APIG
Cyber threats, artificial intelligence and building product failures will top the agenda at the Australian Professional Indemnity Group (APIG) conference in Sydney next month.
The keynote speakers are Flamingo Ai founder Catriona Wallace and whistleblower Jeff Morris, who exposed misconduct by planners at Commonwealth Bank of Australia.
Steadfast MD Robert Kelly will provide an update on the state of the market.
The issue of how to respond to cyber threats will be addressed by Deloitte Australia Cyber Security Strategy & Risk Governance Leading Partner Tommy Vijoen, with a panel discussion to follow.
Sex Discrimination Commissioner Kate Jenkins and Wotton + Kearney Special Counsel Sarah Woods will present a session titled #MeToo, the Sexual Harassment National Inquiry and the EPL impact.
The APIG program also includes an examination of the impact from non-conforming construction products, with speakers Colin Biggers & Paisley Partner Jonathan Newby, Gallagher Construction Practice Leader Angela Vella and Association of Accredited Certifiers CEO Jill Brookfield.
The conference will be held at the Sheraton Grand Sydney Hyde Park on Thursday August 22, with a Gala Dinner to follow in the evening.
