Crawford launches graduate program

Claims management group Crawford & Company has started recruiting candidates for its newly launched graduate program in Australia.

The two-year program starts next month and combines in-house training with external courses offered by the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance.

Crawford aims to select two graduates each from Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane for the course.

“Over the 24 months, participants will be involved in a series of activities and workshops, working with technical advisers and managers as well as soft skills coaches,” Crawford Australia President Tim Jarman told insuranceNEWS.com.au.

“We will also place the graduates in insurance companies and brokers to give them a wider understanding of the insurance industry.

“The training is based on a blended approach which covers technical claims-handling skills as well as other subjects such as report writing, complaints handling and site visits.

“In addition to regular peer reviews, participants will also meet with senior executives from across the organisation on a regular basis.”

Crawford has a series of graduate trainee and mentoring programs spanning all of its offices.

These are designed to give participants the opportunity to experience the diversity of roles available across the company, working with experts and mentors to help them map out the most relevant career path for them.

These programs also open up the chance for graduates to capitalise on Crawford’s global network of offices and take up positions in other parts of the world.
