Crawford & Company has appointed Darren Trott to the new position of National Business Development Manager.

Mr Trott, based in Melbourne, previously spent 18 years with Zurich Insurance in a number of executive claims roles.

For the past two years he was EGM at Claim Central, a division of Siemsen Group.

He told insuranceNEWS.com.au part of his new role is to develop the loss adjuster’s image.

“We are known as a respectable, traditional loss adjusting company with a depth of specialist expertise,” he said. “But more than that we are the world’s largest independent claims management solutions provider.

“My role is about getting that message out to the marketplace.”
