Crawford & Company has boosted its major and complex loss capability, with the addition of three specialty adjusters.

Ian McDonald and Joe Thomas join Crawford Australia’s Global Technical Services team in Melbourne, both having previously worked in senior loss adjusting positions in the Asian market.

And Paul Tuthill, who previously worked for Charles Taylor and Cunningham Lindsey in Australia, joins Crawford as a construction and engineering specialist, based in Sydney.

Head of Specialty Craig McLeod says the “war for talent” is rife across the Australian insurance industry.

“To be able to attract the calibre that is these three individuals, I think speaks volumes for how highly respected Crawford is in the market today,” he said.

“We continue to invest considerably in our specialty expertise and in top talent. Our resolve to be a market-leader in this space is unwavering – these new hires are evidence of that.”

He says further “significant” recruitment announcements are imminent.
