Gerald Lodewick of Insurance Aid General Broking has been named as the winner of the Council of Queensland Insurance Brokers’ (CQIB) Peter McCarthy Young Professional of the Year award.

QBE is also celebrating, after holding on to the All-Rounder of the Year award for the second year in a row.

And QBE claims specialist Jalani McCarthy won the Mick Lambert Barker Award for a CQIB business partner’s employee who has shown “service above and beyond”.

QBE also took out the claims service award, CGU the domestic insurer and UAA the underwriting agency award.

CQIB gave out the awards last week at its annual Queensland Day event.

The council also named HWL Ebsworth partner David Muir as its first honorary member in appreciation of his leadership and support for more than 15 years.
