Travel insurer Cover-More will sponsor Sydney Kings in the next National Basketball League season.

The tie-up adds to sporting partnerships with Arsenal in the English Premier League and the Gold Coast Suns in the AFL.

“While we’re now spread across the globe in 22 countries, Cover-More was created in Sydney in 1986 and Sydney remains our head office, so it’s natural that we wanted to partner with a sporting team in our home town,” CEO Mike Emmett said.

Kings GM Jeff Van Groningen says the partnership will deliver strong commercial and brand benefits for both parties. The team this year signed Andrew Bogut, who is returning to Australia after starring in the US.
