AIG has appointed Australian communications specialist Damian Coory to the new role of VP Corporate Marketing and Communications for the Asia-Pacific region.

He will be based in Hong Kong and oversee corporate communications across 15 countries in which AIG operates.

“We are pleased to welcome Damian to AIG at this critically important time for the Asia-Pacific region,” regional CEO Jose Hernandez said.

“The businesses in the Asia-Pacific are among the fastest-growing within AIG.”

Mr Coory was previously MD of Coory & Associates, which he founded in 2004. He has also worked with public relations companies Edelman and Hill & Knowlton.
