Consultancy builds new links
Claims management consultancy group Stream is joining forces with Consult 3 and the Financial Services School (FSS) to establish a new training program for building consultants.
MD Don McKenzie told insuranceNEWS.com.au he chose the FSS to help run the course because of a prior relationship with the school.
“Although the FSS is not the largest organisation in Australia, it’s very nimble and it quickly committed to the timeframes for rolling out the training around Australia,” he said.
Mr McKenzie says Stream is creating a program for building consultants that takes in all aspects of insurance, because there is currently nothing available.
He says Stream was set up to manage a high volume of building repairs, From an insurance perspective it has become apparent over the past 12 months there was a greater need for insurance and adjusting skills.
Classes will focus on customer service, codes of practice, insurance principles, claims handling and product training based on policy wordings.
Mr McKenzie believes improving consultants’ knowledge and skills will lead to better services for clients. He says Stream is now in the process of modifying the program for the New Zealand market.
