Compare Club has appointed Eayl Machlis as its new GM of General Insurance and Banking.

The personal finance marketplace says a key focus of Mr Machlis’ role will be to extend the company’s credit card availability and head key insurance markets.

In his new role, Mr Machlis will cover the company’s car insurance, credit card, personal loans, and car loans market.

Mr Machlis previously operated as a sales leader at Suncorp and co-founded Victorian-based broker Thunder Insurance.

“I very much believe that anyone can make a better financial decision if they are informed on their options. This is a belief that Compare Club prioritises, and it is my goal to continue to grow towards this objective,” Mr Machlis said.

Compare Club recently acquired Melbourne-based life broker Lifelong Insurance Solutions, looking to position itself in the life insurance sector.
