Clyde & Co recruits cyber expert

Clyde & Co has appointed Simone Herbert-Lowe as a partner in its Cyber One team, focusing on digital threats, compliance and risk governance.

Ms Herbert-Lowe has more than 30 years’ legal experience and serves as an adjunct lecturer at the College of Law and a committee member at the Australasian Society for Computers & Law.

She founded an advisory firm, Law & Cyber, which has worked to deliver risk education to more than 10,000 professionals, and last year she was an expert contributor to a parliamentary committee on cybercrime.

Clyde & Co global cyber co-head Helen Bourne says the appointment “will help further build out our global offering. The firm regularly acts for large corporates that look for one cohesive team of advisers around the world who can handle all client needs.

“With Simone joining, the Australia practice will flourish and remain a cornerstone of our global offering.”

Ms Herbert-Lowe is joining the firm’s Sydney office.
