Claims convention questions perceptions and reality
Zurich CEO Daniel Fogarty will be a keynote speaker at the seventh annual Claims Convention in August.
It will be hosted by the Australasian Institute of Chartered Loss Adjusters and the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance.
Registrations are now open for the conference, called Balancing Perceptions and Reality in Claims Management, at The Westin Sydney on August 1 and 2.
Crawford & Company Catastrophe Services VP Bud Trice will also give a keynote speech, on Superstorm Sandy.
Other presentations will address such topics as conciliation in claims, cyber security, weather-mapping, reinsurance, roadblocks to claim success, changes to the Insurance Contracts Act, property damage misconceptions, challenges following the 2011 Japan earthquake and social networking.
Panel discussions will cover complex marine claims and the public’s attitude to insurers.
