Law firm TurksLegal is calling for nominations for its 2011 claims award, which is jointly sponsored by the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF).

The scholarship, now in its fourth year, aims to provide claims professionals with an opportunity to contribute ideas on issues affecting the industry.

The winner will receive an $8000 overseas conference package, including return travel, accommodation and registration to the 2012 Claims Conference and Insurance Services Expo in Orlando, Florida.

Entrants must complete a 2500-word paper on one of four topics including the merits of legislating a flood definition by October 28. 

The winner will be announced at the annual ANZIIF breakfast in Sydney on December 2.
