Chubb has won the annual Sue Ronai Memorial Excellence in Claims Award, with Global Transport second and CGU in third place.

The award is presented by Austbrokers Victoria and Tasmania, and voted for by its claims staff.

All major insurers and underwriting agencies are eligible.

Chubb VP and Melbourne Branch Manager Scott Simpson says the group is thrilled to win the award.

“It’s the performance of our claims team that so often defines our engagement with customers, so it’s pleasing to see the high standards we hold ourselves to resonate with brokers and customers.”

The award honours Ms Ronai, who worked in claims at various major insurers and was claims manager of Austbrokers Phillips. She died of cancer in 2007.
