Chubb takes out NIBA’s insurer award
Chubb has been named General Insurer of the Year at the National Insurance Brokers Association (NIBA) Convention in Hobart in an inaugural win for the company.
As reported in a Breaking News bulletin last week, Chubb also scooped Most Trusted Brand and Best Broker Experience, gaining the highest combined score in a revamped award structure.
Australia and New Zealand Country President Jarrod Hill says the award “provides a clear indication that we are applying the right level of craftsmanship and dedication to assisting brokers in serving customers”.
Chubb’s win breaks CGU’s dominance of the award for the previous three years. Chubb was a finalist with Allianz and QBE last year.
“The award recognises the strong efforts Chubb has put in to servicing and supporting brokers and their clients in the past year,” NIBA CEO Dallas Booth said.
More than 800 NIBA member brokers rated insurers’ products and services in a range of categories as part of an annual market survey.
Kim Gilbert of Zenith Insurance Services won the QBE-sponsored Stephen Ball Memorial Award for Broker of the Year.
Mr Gilbert, owner of Perth-based Zenith, receives a $20,000 travel and education prize to further his professional development.
Craig Anderson of Austbrokers ABS in NSW was awarded the Vero-sponsored Warren Tickle Memorial Award for Young Professional Broker of the Year.
The Lex McKeown Trophy for lifetime achievement was presented to broking veteran Jeff Smith, who recently retired from Aon.
