Chubb names Grossman as regional head of independent distribution partners

Chubb has appointed former long-serving QBE executive Doron Grossman as Regional Head of Independent Distribution Partners Asia Pacific.

Singapore-based Mr Grossman started at Chubb in August, according to his LinkedIn page.

He was previously AM Best director for market development Southeast Asia. Prior to this, he was head of distribution, brokers and agents Asia Pacific, with QBE Insurance. He is best-known in the Australian market for his early management and development role at broker group IBNA.

In a separate announcement, Chubb has named Tressie Norton and Scott Butcher as specialist underwriters to boost Chubb’s transactional risk capabilities in the Asia Pacific.

Ms Norton, previously Chubb’s senior underwriter for transactional risk based in the UK and Ireland, moved to Singapore in April to service the region’s transactional risk submissions.

Mr Butcher, most recently senior underwriter for financial lines within Major Accounts Division in Australia, is now Underwriter for Transactional Risk. He will service all transactional risk submissions in the local market and New Zealand.

Chubb is expanding its transactional risk capabilities to meet growing demand in the Asia Pacific for risk coverage to facilitate corporate deals.

“With extensive experience as underwriters and legal practitioners, [Ms Norton and Mr Butcher] will provide a deep understanding of how transactional risk coverage can help participants resolve challenging negotiations and execute the deal,” Asia Pacific Head of Financial Lines Grant Cairns said.
