Chubb announces more Asia Pacific appointments
Chubb says Ben Carey will take the role of Head of Field Operations Asia Pacific in the first quarter of next year, a newly created role based in Singapore covering 12 markets and 69 branch offices across the region, delivering services to agency and broker distribution partners.
The insurer also announced Serene Neo has taken the role of Head of Accident & Health for Asia Pacific, responsible for the A&H and travel portfolios, and reporting to Head of Consumer Asia Pacific Ben Howell. Ms Neo joined Chubb in 2019 and has been Division Head, Consumer Lines, Singapore since last year.
Mr Carey, who reports to Regional President Asia Pacific Paul McNamee and joins the company’s Asia Pacific Executive Committee, was most recently Everest Regional Head of Insurance for Asia and Chief Executive, Singapore.
He formerly spent 19 years at Chubb in various roles across Asia Pacific, London and New York, including Head of Distribution & Client Management, Asia, and Senior VP of A&H, Overseas General Insurance.
“Ben is a respected leader and skilled insurance practitioner, and we are thrilled that he will be returning to Chubb,” Mr McNamee said.
Last week, Chubb promoted Melbourne-based Hayden Baker to the role of Head of Property & Casualty Australia & New Zealand, replacing Chris Gough who takes the role of Head of P&C Asia. Chubb now says it has "appointed dedicated and separate leadership to run its Property & Casualty businesses in Asia and Australia & New Zealand”.
The changes come after Melbourne-based Head of Property and Casualty Asia Pacific Grant Cairns, a Chubb veteran of two decades, was appointed AIG Australia CEO.
