CHU unveils leadership appointments

CHU Underwriting Agencies has today announced new appointments to its leadership team following the expansion of Head of People and Communications Kristy Pownall's responsibilities, and recruitment of Anirudh Kakulapati as Chief Customer Officer (CCO).

Under the changes, Craig Stanley and Katrina Johnson have been promoted to National Business Development Managers under the CCO. Mr Stanley was previously Business Development Manager Queensland and NT and Ms Johnson Senior Business Development Manager, according to their LinkedIn accounts.

The Steadfast-owned business says Gordon Bell has also joined as Head of Distribution. CHU says Mr Bell has held significant positions in Australia for more than 15 years in the broker, strata, and insurance industries.

He was most recently COO at CRM Brokers, according to his LinkedIn. He was national marketing manager with CHU for more than four years before joining Longitude Insurance as general manager in April 2013.

“[Mr Stanley] and [Ms Johnson] have demonstrated excellence in [business development manager] roles both having been recognised for their service and commitment to their clients at an industry level,” CEO Kimberley Jonsson said.

“I'm also pleased to have [Mr Bell] returning to CHU bringing his broad experience and infectious enthusiasm.

“I’m excited about these appointments as they strengthen CHU’s ability to serve our customers right across Australia.”

In a separate announcement, CHU Services says Daniel Hunt has been appointed as Operations Manager for CHU Services, reporting to GM Chris Frazer.

Mr Hunt will start in January, bringing to the business his experience in both the strata and real estate industries. CHU Services says he is well known to the strata industry from previous roles including GM Ace Body Corporate Management.

“This appointment will strengthen the CHU Services offering to the market and enable continued growth,” Ms Jonsson said.
