Reinsurance broker Aon Benfield will hold its 12th Hazards Conference on the topic of “catastrophic complexity” from Thursday to Saturday on the Gold Coast.

The biennial conference will take a “bigger picture” look at the increasing complexity of catastrophic events, with improved data, catastrophe models and dynamic financial analysis the keys to the insurance industry’s handling of increasing complex catastrophe risk.

Global catastrophe experts as well as New Zealand Earthquake Commission CEO Ian Simpson and independent senator Nick Xenophon will speak at the event.
