Carey Bird scholarship opens for entries
Submissions are now open for the Carey Bird Scholarship, organised by the Australasian Institute of Chartered Loss Adjusters.
The competition is open to all institute members except directors and past winners.
Applicants must submit an article of 1000-1500 words on the proper treatment of wage costs when an insured intends to claim for material damage.
The winner can choose a $3000 cash prize or a trip to either the Claims Convention in Sydney in September or the Asian Claims Convention in Phnom Penh next year.
Marsh Forensic Accounting and Claims Services is a co-sponsor of the program, established in 2013 in honour of institute member Carey Bird, who died in the 2011 Christchurch earthquake.
Entries close on June 15. For more information, click here.
