Canopius Group has supplemented its recent expansion into Australia and New Zealand with the appointment of two new senior underwriters. 

The (re)insurer announced the additions of Property Coverholder and Delegated Authority Underwriter Lucy Lumb and Accident and Health Underwriter Trisha Urquhart.  

Ms Lumb joins Canopius from Dual NZ, bringing nearly two decades of industry experience specialised in commercial and property sectors. She will report to Canopius Head of Coverholder and Delegated Authority Jeanene Hill. 

Ms Urquhart has more than 24 years of insurance experience and joins the firm from East West Insurance Brokers. She will report to Canopius Australia and Pacific lead Accident and Health Senior Underwriter Suzanne White. 

Canopius says the hires mark its continued efforts to expand into the local region following its launch of an Australia-based reinsurance team earlier this year.
