Listed insurer Calliden is offering one of its employees the chance to join explorer Robert Swan on his expedition to the Antarctic in February.

The expedition, dubbed Leadership on the edge, is a 16-day personal leadership and sustainability program being conducted by Mr Swan, the first person to walk to both the north and south poles.

“This is an exciting opportunity for one lucky Calliden employee to be our ambassador and to use this experience to develop themselves and their leadership capabilities,” Calliden CEO Nick Kirk said.

The company says the Calliden ambassador will be chosen based on a combination of their commitment to environmental sustainability, proposed contribution at their local community level and the impact they can have at Calliden.

The winner will be announced at the end of next month.
