Broker value discussed in Vero SME Index podcast

Broker value is the focus of the final episode in a special three-part podcast series examining findings from Vero’s SME Insurance Index report.

Small businesses are turning more to brokers and those that use direct channels are thinking about seeking advice, the podcast released today highlights.

The value of brokers is particularly obvious at claims time, when clients who have had the benefit of risk management advice are much more satisfied with their experience compared to those who have researched and selected cover themselves.

The Insurance with INsight series is a collaboration between Vero and Insurance News, to mark the 10th anniversary of the SME Index.

Vero Head of Commercial Intermediaries Anthony Pagano discusses the issues, along with the INsight panel of Insurance News Managing Director Andrew Silcox, Publisher Terry McMullan and Managing Editor John Deex.

The podcast also includes broking industry perspectives and viewpoints.

Episode one of the series focused on the topic of interaction and the risks associated with brokers taking a hands-off approach with clients, while episode two analysed the current hard market.
