Broker HW Wood Australia has expanded beyond its Melbourne office into the WA market, with an office in Perth headed by newly appointed state manager Clive Higgins.

Mr Higgins has spent more than 40 years in the insurance industry, and was formerly Perth-based divisional director at Willis Towers Watson. He also spent more than eight years at Gallagher and its predecessor company.

He says he is working on building HWI’s profile in WA and intends to build a strong team.

US-based HWI is a privately owned global broker with more than 250 employees and 17 offices worldwide.
