Former IAG executive Stuart Anderson has joined Brit Insurance as Senior Representative, based in Sydney.

Mr Anderson joins the London-based insurer after two years as a reinsurance underwriting senior manager at IAG as Brit Insurance seeks a greater slice of the local market. At present it’s focused on reinsurance.

The international insurer/reinsurer set up its own office in Sydney in May after its agency arrangement with Australian Reinsurance Underwriting Services was ended.

“Stuart’s knowledge of our local markets, as well as regulatory and compliance issues, will be a huge asset as we develop our business in Australia and New Zealand,” Mr Davidson said.
