Brisbane broker elected Insight chairman

Queensland broker Danny Gumm has been elected the new chairman of the Insight Insurance Brokers Association.

Mr Gumm, who is a director of broker Parmia in Brisbane, is the first non-Victorian chairman of Insight.

Insight Executive Officer Bill Friend says this is an indication of Insight’s increasingly national footprint over the past five years. The association was formed in country Victoria in 1991.

“Danny’s appointment as chairman is further proof we are now a truly national group,” Mr Friend said.

Mr Gumm replaces Warwick Remington of Remington Insurance Brokers, who will remain on the board.

David Hosking from Grampians Insurance Brokers is Insight’s new Vice Chairman, and Nalini Robertson from National Advisor Services has joined the board to replace Robert Ross of Affinity Insurance Services.

Insight currently has 43 members operating from 185 locations across Australia.
