Specialist insurance and reinsurance broker BMS has recruited Aon executive Andrew McKenzie as Northern Region Manager of financial lines in Australia.

Mr McKenzie’s most recent role was director of specialties at Aon, while he also led the Financial Services Group during 19 years with the firm. Previously he was the specialty insurance lines leader at Marsh for eight years.

BMS says Mr McKenzie is also focussed on providing solutions for emerging global risks such as cyber and workplace health and safety.

“He has a demonstrable track record of leading high performing teams, achieving great results for clients and navigating through the complex insurance market cycles,” BMS Australia CEO Andrew Godden said today.

Mr McKenzie will be based in Brisbane, effective September 1, and will report to BMS Australia Head of Financial Lines Stuart Davies.
