Big names and big issues dominate ICA gathering
The Insurance Council of Australia (ICA) will hold its Annual Forum on February 27 at the Hilton Sydney, where guests will hear from regulators and political leaders.
Assistant Treasurer Stuart Roberts and Labor communications spokeswoman Michelle Rowland will speak, as will Commissioner Sean Hughes from the Australian Securities and Investments Commission and Australian Prudential Regulation Authority Deputy Chairman John Lonsdale.
Two plenary sessions will discuss findings from the Hayne royal commission and their impact on the General Insurance Code of Practice and self-regulation.
The plenary sessions will feature Australian Banking Association CEO Anna Bligh and Lead Ombudsman for General Insurance at the Australian Financial Complaints Authority John Price. Financial Rights Legal Centre CEO Karen Cox will also take part.
Ethics and trust strategist Clare Payne will address the conference, as will The Age and Sydney Morning Herald Chief Political Correspondent David Crowe.
