Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) has announced Sami Jaghbir as its new underwriting manager for Queensland.   

Mr Jaghbir has more than 18 years of industry experience and has served as a Senior Underwriting Manager for BHSI since joining in 2015. His previous experience includes roles at Vero, Suncorp and Marsh and as a committee member of the Australian Professional Indemnity Group.  

As part of the role, Mr Jaghbir will work on the company’s specialised Executive and Professional Lines, as well as its additional general insurance portfolio.  

“Sami joined BHSI in 2015 to help establish our Brisbane office,” BHSI Australasia President Mark Lingafelter said. 

“He was pivotal in building our Executive and Professional Lines business in Queensland and more recently has led our Commercial Directors & Officers product line in NSW. 

“Sami’s professionalism, strong working relationships and collaborative style will help BHSI further develop our market presence across all of our product lines.”
