Berkley Re has appointed Tani Alexander as Casualty Treaty Manager for Australia and New Zealand.

Ms Alexander, currently with Swiss Re, will join Berkley Re’s underwriting team on April 18.

“Tani will continue the delivery of innovative and client-focused solutions that have been successfully rolled out in the past 12 months, as well as developing a deeper relationship with all our valued clients and their brokers,” Berkley Re CEO for Australia and New Zealand Tony Piper said.

He says Ms Alexander has “vast casualty experience in both traditional and non-traditional reinsurance, which will further enhance our ability to challenge established market practices and provide alternatives to current placements”.
