Berkley partners with renewable energy charity
Berkley Insurance Australia is collaborating with charity SolarBuddy to help alleviate energy poverty.
The insurer says under the partnership, which is its community initiative for this year, it will donate to the charity for every policy sold on its broker platform, bindIT.
SolarBuddy works to improve the wellbeing and economic conditions of energy-starved communities by providing renewable power.
It says that since launching in 2016, it has worked to deliver energy to 21 countries, and its goal is to improve life for millions of children by 2030.
Berkley Insurance Australia CEO Tony Wheatley says the partnership with SolarBuddy is a “reflection of our core values”.
“We are inspired by their commitment and the significant impact of their work, especially for communities affected in the cycle of energy poverty,” he said.
