Barry Nilsson announces key appointments
National legal firm Barry Nilsson (BN) has announced three new principals, taking the number of principals to 40 and lifting the representation of women at the level to four in 10.
With insurance, health and family, wills and estate law specialties, BN says the principal appointments are among 21 promotions across its national network that will deepen expertise in high demand areas of family and insurance law.
Earlier this year, BN beefed up its standing in the Australian insurance and health law market by securing an established six-member team to expand its Adelaide office and a six-member team to expand its Sydney office.
The latest promotions will see Jason Hart (Insurance, Perth), Thea Davies (Family, Brisbane) and Genevieve Morgan (Family, Sydney) named principals.
“We’re thrilled to be able to recognise the efforts and achievements of Jason, Thea and Genevieve, reflecting their advanced technical ability, high standard of client service and strong contribution to client relationship development within their individual roles and practice areas, and as part of the wider BN team,” CEO Graeme Walsh said.
The 21 promotions have a strong insurance focus and account for one principal, two special counsel, five senior associates and seven associates. All promotions have been internal promotions in line with the company’s commitment to foster existing talent.
The promotions are effective July 1.
