Awards recognise financial services achievers
The Financial Services Council (FSC) has announced the winners of its 2010 Industry Excellence Awards.
The awards recognise the value added to the financial services sector by individuals through exceptional achievements and contributions to debate and the formulation of industry positions and principles.
Colonial First State GM Client Services Nigel McCammon was recognised for his contribution towards increasing the efficiency of the superannuation industry.
Mr McCammon has taken part in regulatory and industry forums and has also helped develop FSC policy for e-commerce, efficiency and industry standards within superannuation.
MLC Head of Finance, Insurance Megan Beer also took home an award for her contribution to the working group responsible for the delivery of the life insurance industry’s first industry-wide experience investigation in 10 years.
Ms Beer became chairman of the working group last year.
Vanguard Investments Australia Chairman and MD Asia-Pacific Jeremy Duffield was also honoured with an Industry Excellence award in recognition of his time on the board of the FSC under its previous name, the Investment and Financial Services Association.
