Automation assisting remote working: Berkley
Demand for automation and self-service tools has dramatically increased as working from home has becomes the new norm, particularly in the past few weeks, Berkley Insurance Australia (BIA) says.
The company says a focus on people and relationships remains central, but the remote trend is changing the way business is being conducted. Brokers working under different arrangements at home are seeking to ensure they can give clients different options quickly.
“BIA supports the evolving needs of our brokers and wants them to be in the best position to succeed, even during these difficult times,” it says.
The company says automation of its general liability quotes on the Steadfast Client Trading Platform is an example of technology changes that are providing benefits in the current situation.
The BIA automated system on the Steadfast Virtual Underwriter enables fast processing on more than 3000 SME occupations, generating a quote and documentation in about 30 seconds, the insurer says.
