NSW and Queensland have split the honours at broker Ausure’s annual awards presentation.

More than 280 insurance professionals attended the national broker’s three-day conference in Cairns.

MMA Insurance Brokers in Brisbane won the Jim McIlveen award of excellence, recognising “adherence to regulations, above-average growth and minimal mistakes”.

The chairman’s award for ethical, professional and selfless conduct was presented to Foster Brown from Ausure’s Kurri Kurri branch in NSW.

Ausure’s Newcastle branch won the award for highest earnings. The fastest-growing branch award went to the Mount Isa branch, and Gunnedah branch broker Dan Ramien won the “youngest achiever” award.

The Mike Dunn Supplier of the Year Award went to Arthur Payne of High Street Underwriting Agency.
