Ausure heading to South Africa for next conference

Broking group Ausure will hold its conference next year in Cape Town, South Africa, with the announcement made at the conclusion of this year’s event.

More than 250 attendees participated in the four-day event in Hobart earlier this month, the first face-to-face conference since 2019. Over 120 insurance specialists, representing 51 insurers attended as sponsors.

Ausure also announced that Chubb had joined its key partners panel, which provides opportunities to deliver better outcomes for brokers and clients.

“We only choose to appoint key partnerships with insurers who we believe provide the group with superior service levels, escalation points and want to work with Ausure to roll out new initiatives that benefit the group,” Ausure CEO Scott McCarthy said. “Chubb, QBE, NTI and CGU all do exceptionally well in these areas.”

Ausure, which has about $370 million of premium income, says it offers the ability to leverage off its national brand and is assisting in bringing business to brokers through the digital arena.

“Whilst Ausure maintains their traditional broker values; to provide trusted expert advice that Australians can rely on to protect their homes and businesses – it’s important that brokers continue to adapt to the new ways people are looking for insurance,” Head of Communications and Digital Steve Sloan said.

The gala dinner was held on the final night and included an awards presentation. Winners were:

Jim McIIveen Award of Excellence – ABICO Insurance Brokers, Wollongong and Oran Park, NSW
Ausure Fastest Growing Business – Astute GI, Cairns, Northern Queensland
Ausure Young Achiever of the Year – Josh Legudi of Ausure Insurance Services/Rutherford Street Insurance Services
